Zewa Feeds Pleco Bites P5 is a sinking crumble feed formulated specifically for plecos, catfish, otocinclus, and herbivorous loaches. Plecos are herbivorous bottom feeders with long digestive tracts adapted for high-fibre, plant-based diets — a nutritional profile conventional fish pellets fail to match.
At 15% crude fibre, one of the highest levels available in ornamental fish feeds, Pleco Bites directly addresses pleco digestive physiology. The 36% insect protein provides quality lean protein for muscle condition and immunity with 88% digestibility, without the digestive overload of high-animal-protein diets.
The 1.2–2 mm dense sinking crumble settles immediately on the substrate, matching natural bottom-feeding behaviour. It softens gradually over 15–20 minutes, allowing plecos to rasp naturally. Spirulina and moringa provide pigments supporting the bold mosaic patterns and dark base colouration of healthy plecos.
Suitable for Common Pleco, Bristlenose, Zebra Pleco (L046), Royal Pleco (L190), otocinclus, loaches, and bottom-feeding catfish. Available in 45 g, 500 g, and 1 kg.
